Since 1984, Mark Stone has been cultivating a unique set of professional skills that allow him to be a remarkably effective marriage and relationship counselor.
His special gifts come from expertly mixing several professional modalities into an eclectic whole, and adding his unique brand of warmth, humor, and compassion.
Mark was certified as a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming in 1990 where he trained with Rene’ Pfalzgraf, Director of NLP of Arizona. In 1995, he received his Master Practitioner training from Steve & Connirae Andreas of NLP Comprehensive. Tom Dotz, head of NLP of California at the time, trained Mark as a Certified Practitioner Training Coach.
Mark has also studied with Dr. Barry & Joyce Vissell from the Shared Heart Foundation, which specializes in relationships, spiritual growth and living from the heart. He is a Certified Hypnotherapist from the New England Institute of Hypnotherapy, a Certified Professional Consultant from the Academy of Professional Consultants & Advisors, and a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the State of California within Contra Costa County.
  Mark is also a non-denominational/interfaith officiator, authorized to conduct weddings in the state of California. This is one of his true joys. He believes that wedding ceremonies are a wonderful and blessed event for all and happily works with couples to ensure their ceremony reflects their specific desires.
He performs interfaith, traditional, civil, religious and spiritual ceremonies. These heartfelt events are personalized ceremonies created to reflect you, your relationship, and your beliefs.
Mark points to his own long-term marriage to his wife Michele as his most significant learning experience and greatest success.
